now its time to break them!
This is an invitation for you to come with me on this journey. Its time to colour outside the lines. When we allow ourselves to simply play and experiment, this is when our soul comes out. When we stop trying to control everything and allow our intuition to guide us. This is when the magic happens and we can make really strong art. I found a way in so to speak with these paintings through nature. When Im out walking I tend to look up and watch the dappled sunlight come though the leaves on a trees. It always fascinates me. This inspired me to follow that idea and I thought of this as I began each painting. Even though each one went off in its own direction at times I used nature to ground me and inspire me. Letting go of control was a real challenge for me as Im usually carefully working my way though lots of detail. This new series has been so freeing for me. It has brought me alive. My art will never be the same again.
