"Shallow Water" feels like a window into a serene, hidden world just beneath the surface. In this piece, I wanted to capture the quiet, mesmerizing beauty of the ocean’s shallows, where sunlight ripples through the water, casting fluid, ever-changing patterns across the seabed.

I was especially drawn to the way the light wobbles and bends as it meets the water, distorting reflections and creating a dreamy, almost otherworldly atmosphere. The shifting greens and blues, layered with delicate currents of white and gold, mirror the constant motion of the sea, while the rocks below emerge softly, their details blurred and softened by the water’s gentle sway.

This painting is part of my exploration of underwater movement, inspired by my time snorkeling in Alicante. I wanted to translate that feeling of weightlessness, of being suspended in a world where everything is in flux — the quiet rhythm of the tides, the sparkle of light skimming the surface, and the endless dance between sea and sky.
