Creating texture on a cradled wooden panel was the perfect choice for this painting. I wanted to capture the undulating movement of the water, the way it shifts and flows, and how light dances on its surface, creating a beautiful sparkle. To bring this vision to life, I used a combination of mixed media, including Golden Open acrylics, ink blocks, and water-soluble pastels. The materials allowed me to play with the light and shadow, creating a sense of depth and fluidity that reflects the energy of the water. It was an exciting process, and I’m delighted with how it turned out.
