Pebble pathways 60x80cm
"Pebble Pathways" is a reflection of my deep connection to the ocean and my fascination with the quiet magic beneath the surface. This painting was inspired by an art trip to Alicante, where I captured countless underwater moments with my GoPro. I became captivated by the way sunlight spilled across the water, creating glimmering trails that rippled and distorted with the sea’s constant movement.
I wanted to capture that fleeting interplay of light, water, and stone — the way pebbles stretch out like a natural pathway, inviting exploration of the ever-shifting landscape below. The layers of gentle reflections and soft, earthy tones echo my love of mark-making and my ongoing exploration of fluid abstraction.
This piece feels like an important part of my artistic journey, representing my renewed approach to painting the ocean. It’s my way of translating those fleeting underwater moments into something tangible, inviting the viewer to pause and reconnect with nature’s quiet, rhythmic beauty.
Materials: Canvas and golden open acrylic.
